I watch my son sparring with the testing computer, decoding himself once again. It reminds me of what I went through watching him grow up, but this time, he's had to compress dozens of years of learning into three months.
He's reliving the pain of his childhood. So am I.
I pity him, and I pity another man here who's hurting just as badly. Jim doesn't deserve this. He tries to look hopeful, but he doesn't fool me.
I can't bear to think of what he's going through. The idea of even one day without Sarek's love makes me weak.
